Dr. Christopher Hogan earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and psychology (with a minor in chemistry) from Berry College. While at Berry, Dr. Hogan participated in several research efforts, including nerve regeneration and movement, limb locomotion in rats and problem solving in children.. He spent nearly a year researching molecular biology and neuroanatomy at Colorado State University, before enrolling at the Mercer University School of Medicine, where he earned his doctorate. He completed his internal medicine internship, a general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Hogan currently practices acute care surgery, trauma and surgical critical care at ASC.

Dr. Hogan and his wife, Emily, have two children. The Hogan family enjoys outdoor activities such as camping and going to the lake.
