Jill Buchanan, MD, FACS

Dr. Jill Buchanan earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from the University of West Georgia and a doctorate from Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed her residency training in general surgery at the Medical College of Georgia. She served as Intern of the Year, as well as Administrative Chief Resident while at MCG. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is board certified in general surgery. She focuses on breast-related and robotic procedures, including single-site gallbladder removal, laparoscopic and open hernia repair.

Dr. Buchanan and her husband, Brian, have three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, participating in church activities, running, hiking, mountain biking, and snow skiing.
