A. Jill Buchanan-Enter, MD, FACS

Dr. Jill Buchanan-Enter earned a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from the University of West Georgia in 2000 and a doctorate of medicine from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2004. She completed her residency training in general surgery at the Medical College of Georgia in 2009. She served as intern of the year in general surgery 2004-2005 year as well as Administrative Chief Resident from July 2008 until July 2009 while at MCG. She is board certified in general surgery by the American college of surgeons and is a fellow of the American College of Surgery. Dr. Buchanan-Enter has practiced general surgery for several years and comes to Acute Surgical Care from private practice in Aiken, SC. She has an emphasis in breast-related procedures, robotic procedures – including single-site gallbladder removal, laparoscopic and open hernia repair. Dr. Buchanan-Enter and her husband, Brian, a professional engineer, have three children. She enjoys spending time with her family, participating in church activities, running, hiking, mountain biking, and snow skiing.
